Permanent cycle traffic counting points now available online

Cycling traffic is permanently counted at six cycling facilities in the city of Jena. Some counting stations have been in operation since August 2018, the last one was installed at the end of 2024. Four counting devices were financed through funding programs of the Free State of Thuringia and made permanently available to the city of Jena by the Working Group of Bicycle-Friendly Municipalities (AGFK) Thuringia. The mobility department has used and continues to use the data, for example, in the creation of the Jena 2035+ cycling plan and for tourism purposes.
