Friday, September 18, 2026 Lively Streets Instead of Parked Cars – Parking Day “Bustling streets instead of parked cars”: That’s the motto of Parking Day, which takes place on Bachstraße / Johannisplatz. The event aims to show us just how much urban life, social interaction, and activity would be possible in urban spaces if they weren’t obstructed by the noise of motorized traffic and the bulk of parked vehicles. We want to challenge the dominance of cars in public spaces and show how urban areas can be redesigned to be more livable for people. Everyone is invited to come see this vision for themselves and learn about the design alternatives that exist.
